Sapere.
Garmin Edge data field coming
Strada is the flagship ride field: live wind, self-computed gradient & VAM, heart rate and turn cues. It morphs to what your bike provides — and gives you a full, honest screen even without a power meter.
Coming to the Garmin Connect IQ store (Edge 1050).
A screen that reflows around the data you actually have — no empty cells, no fake numbers.
Wind direction and speed, plus a gradient and VAM Sapere computes itself.
Garmin doesn’t expose true gradient to a data field, so Strada computes it from your motion. Wind comes from the companion connection; without it the wind cell simply drops.
Honest fallback: a missing source drops its cell, the rest reflows. No power meter? You still get speed, gradient/VAM, wind and HR — a complete screen, not a stub.
A data field can’t pop turn directions or pull itself to the foreground — Sapere never pretends otherwise. Turn cues only appear with a loaded route, and only the data Garmin actually exposes.
Within verified Connect IQ data-field limits.Strada is designed to be complete without power — that’s the point.
Power joins speed, gradient/VAM, wind and HR for the fullest screen.
Speed, self-computed gradient & VAM, live wind and HR — a complete, honest ride screen. Nothing faked.
Strada only shows what Garmin actually exposes and what Sapere can honestly compute — a missing source drops its cell rather than guessing. Live wind needs the companion connection.

An Edge 1050. Works without a power meter; wind needs the companion connection. A power meter adds the power cell.
